Project List
River Training
River Training (RT) is the process of planning, designing, and implementing engineering measures to control, guide, and stabilize the natural flow of rivers. It involves the construction of structures such as embankments, guide bunds, spurs, revetments, and bank protection works to prevent erosion, reduce flood risks, protect infrastructure and settlements, and maintain a stable river course.
River training helps improve river navigation, safeguard agricultural land, and minimize the impacts of natural and human-induced changes on river systems.
